Something Special

Just can't get enough of that smile. 

Jay and I were talking last night and he said to me, "I think our little girl is going to be something special." I smiled, because I agree.

She already captivates a room with her infectious smile. She warms your heart with just one sight of her. She genuinely makes everyone around her happy.

We may be biased, but I hear it all the time. She's so precious. She's adorable. And, yes, SHE IS! I know that. But they aren't just saying it. There really is, just something about her.

I remember when we heard that she had Ds. One of my fears was that she wouldn't look like either of us. How further from the truth that has become. Most people say she looks like Jay and I agree. She has her days. But there are also days that I send my Mom pics and she reminds me of how she looks like her Momma. These are the moments that make my heart melt even more.

She is OBSESSED with our keyboard to the TV.
She gets the love of computers from both I guess.

I see me in her. I see her determination, her stubbornness, her drive to get what she wants and that smile. I wouldn't have it any other way.

I also see Jay. Patience (sometimes I attribute this to him, might be more of a split), love, the passion of loving something so much you shake your arms in excitement and that fun laugh that you just can't get enough of.

Leighton is developing so much personality. Her goals and milestones are moving right along. Ms. Tina, her OT, says that she is doing GREAT! I tear up on that one too. It's SO good to hear!

Nonetheless, she is amazing and I just can't get enough of her.
